Q) What are the fees of a legal notice for Muslims and non-Muslims?

A) ∎ The statement shall include the name of the deceased, name and address of the applicant and names of heirs.

∎ A copy of the death certificate in Arabic.

∎ A copy of lawyer’s power of attorney in case a lawyer is authorized. Such copy shall be certified by notary public.

∎ A copy of the passport of the heirs, the deceased and the applicant.

∎ Applications are accepted through the Personal Status Services Department and a certified notice of numerating the heirs is issued.

∎ Fees: a notice for Muslims is free and for non-Muslims, it shall cost AED 100.
